The Industry Essentials module kicks off the CAM course by summarizing the global state of the apartment industry. Some key topics taught include understanding a CAM’s role as an investor and resident advocate, viewing the property as an investment, as well as outlining the different characteristics and types of housing within the industry.
To obtain the CAM credential, candidates must complete the following:
- Minimum of 12 months of onsite property management experience (This can be obtained while taking the course; you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.)
- Successful completion of all CAM coursework (totaling 40 hours)
- Meet all examination standards within 12 months of declaring candidacy
