The eighth and final module of the CAM program is the Resident Experience. Relationships are directly related to occupancy rates--residents who feel connected to the community are less likely to move. Key concepts taught in this course include how to build and maintain relationships with residents, including lease applications, screening, resident education, resident retention and the move-out process.
To obtain the CAM credential, candidates must complete the following:
- Minimum of 12 months of onsite property management experience (This can be obtained while taking the course; you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.)
- Successful completion of all CAM coursework (totaling 40 hours)
- Meet all examination standards within 12 months of declaring candidacy
