A manager’s role in Risk Management is an ever-changing process that involves recognizing, confronting and preparing for any potential threat to the property, residents, contractors, visitors and employees. Key topics taught in this module include solutions that minimize financial, mechanical and personal risk, preparing for OSHA inspections, creating emergency plans and preventing and controlling loss.
To obtain the CAM credential, candidates must complete the following:
- Minimum of 12 months of onsite property management experience (This can be obtained while taking the course; you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.)
- Successful completion of all CAM coursework (totaling 40 hours)
- Meet all examination standards within 12 months of declaring candidacy
